Two killed, 40 injured in bus-car collision
KARACHI: At least two people were killed and 40 injured when an ill-fated picnic-going bus collided with a car near Bahria Auditorium, Karsaz, Geo News reported Sunday.According to the details, the bus was going to Karli Lake when it faced the tragedy. 40 picnic-goers including children and women got hurt and a passerby was killed when the bus hit a car near Karsaz bridge.The injured were taken to PNS Rahat Hospital for first aid, later 36 of them were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

Another town in Rajanpur came under water as the embankment in the area breached; while, a flood approached Barasabad routed through Fazilpur from Mount Suleman.The flood-affected areas are still cut off on fourth consecutive day today.The flash flood triggered yesterday pulled down all huts and mud houses in Fazilpur’s Chak Ahmadani, leaving people without shelter under open skies. Also, the relief work to restore all link roads would be started today.The flood-hit people had to come under open skies in Barkhan and Kohlu, where they are facing hardships owing to shortage of medicines, potable water and eatables.Another body of a seven-year old out of 40 people who went missing adrift the flood, was recovered from a mountainous area, raising the number of deceased to 19; while, the search for the 11 missing is still on.The flood water is fast approaching the areas of Naseerabad and Jaferabad from Barkhan, posing threat of great destruction.

WANA: At least four people were killed and five others injured in a drone attack by a US surveillance plane in South Waziristan Agency (SWA) area of Shaktoi Algad, Geo News reported Sunday.According to sources, the US spy planes fired at least four missiles on the hideouts of militants in Mehsud area of Shaktoi Algad, where four people were killed and another five injured.The tribes kick-started relief activities after the attack.The flights of drone planes are still afoot in the area.
